It's physically impossible (and I mean concerning the laws of physics) for this spinning dirt ball, that's been on a ~32° slant forever, to fall over 90°. Momentum alone wouldn't allow it, not to mention the moon, and the core.

The magnetic poles could shift, and have done so a few times in the distant past, but that would be a ~180° flip of N and S, not 90°.
This is expected to be something we see coming, with the poles moving more than normal leading up to it.

 

A strong enough CME might alter the 'normal' field lines of the earth's magnetic core enough for more temperate latitudes to view aurorae, but that's hardly rotating the earth 90°.

I accidently responded to the earth flipping possibility on a unintended thread as this matter has split onto two threads . So I will basically do a repeat . This morning the update on this matter that was promised via ' space weather news ' did not materialize . Even yesterdays video on the earth flipping has vanished . I suspect some space gurus took a lot of heat from that report . As for fetched as that report may have seemed , my prepper strategy is to prepare for the worst not deny and do nothing .

Yes you apparently missed the incoming information that I posted yesterday and has now seemingly been removed somewhere by powers further up the information chain . The flip was not anything to do with a c.m.e. : The theory revolved around earths weakening magnetic protection . The weakened magnetic field surrounding our planet is also being blamed for the recent uptick of recent volcano activity as well as the uptick in stronger and more frequent earthquakes as well as a auroras being more prevalent .

 

I can’t rule it out, but we have a long history of NOT rotating sideways. It would take a whole lot of energy to tip an entire planet over. I really thought somebody here was messin’ with us.

When I made the initial post concerning the flip , I was trying to avoid starting a new thread so posted it on the c.m.e. Thread thinking it would involve only one or two postings as both were space related . However it quickly gained traction and took off . That is when I decided it needed to be separated and started a earth flipping thread . Again, it has nothing to do with a c.m.e.

 

Perhaps I am coming to the wrong conclusion that some of our members do not keep up with a space weather source . They are sort of like weather men ' as was my brother ' . They have daily information on space related ongoing happenings that effects planet earth . Those that stay informed from such sources know earths protective magnetic field has weekend by a lot over the last months . Again that is the core behind the flip warning . I will take a guess and say that I am the only one on this forum that is aware that planet earth made a slight wobble a week or two ago .

For the earth to do this, and Grok assumed over the course of 1 year, would require 4.28×10^29 J of energy.
That's 4,280,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Joules (if I counted the zeros right).
That is orders of magnitude larger than the Chicxulub impact which is believed to have wiped out the dinosaurs. (~10^23 J)
It is equivalent to the entire energy output of the sun over a ~17 minute period.

What actually happened is you posted a statement that the earth was going to rotate 90 Degrees, based on nothing scientific. Then when caught out, tried to frame it as ”prepping”. Got news for you: if it happened, we’d be dead.

OK. Seems your assumption is none of us follow space weather. By extension, we cannot comprehend how it will cause the earth to suddenly tilt 90°.

 

Here's the deal. If we see alien spacecraft exiting Earth en masse, then it's time to bend over and kiss one's butt goodbye.

 

BUT...will we know what the spacecraft look like? Will they be ugly as a tesla or as sweet looking as a GM squarebody? Maybe that late night tv dude that was just cancelled is the lead alien and is sign the others need to leave as well.

Joking aside...the older I get the more I believe we have been desensitized to anything that may have seemed "crazy" when we were younger (before social media/ministry of truth came along)...maybe Paul Harvey and Dan Smoot were the last "real" humans in media.....or the .gov.

 

I doubt if this is a realistic threat. Even a magnetic pole flip is not likely to flip the planet. The sun's poles flip about every 11 years, but the sun itself does not flip.

I'm more concerned about the declining magnetosphere. That's likely why the magnetic poles are wandering and why the Earth is warming. Less protection from solar radiation means more warming on the surface.

It did clarify the claim.
The narrator, in his sit down interview, claims that a large energy burst from the sun can somehow cause the crust of the earth to detach from the mantle and shift 90 degrees. He provides no evidence to support this, nor any evidence that it has happened before, nor any clarification on why it would only move 90 degrees and stop.

Firstly, there is no geological evidence to support the claim that the earth experiences any cycle of full crustal shift, caused by the sun or otherwise.
Secondly, if he truly believed this would be a "near extinction level event", he wouldn't bother promoting his upcoming schedule through the next year.

There is ample evidence for magnetic pole reversal, and this phenomenon is often used to confuse people into believing other claims.
But this reversal causes no movement of the crust. It would certainly screw up our GPS system for a while, and likely a few other systems (not to mention all compasses), but we would largely survive it.

Learn to spot the hype and look for actual evidence. If none is presented, but there's a lot of flashy imagery and foreboding words, be wary.

Magnetic samplings on the ocean floor have shown the earth's magnetic poles have flipped over the millennia, but not the physical earth.
